Are you eligible for a refund?
If you use any petrol vehicles or machinery off-road within your business you could be eligible for a NZTA fuel tax refund.
Fuel Excise Duty Tax is a tax unique to petrol used off-road or in machinery. There’s a good chance that you could be exempt from the Fuel Tax and may be eligible to claim $0.76 + GST for every litre used off road. Refunded can make this difficult process simple for you.
From midnight March 14 2022 the Government has temporarily reduced the fuel excise tax rate from 76 cents to 51 cents + GST per litre. Refunded will handle this temporary reduction on your behalf.
5 simple steps to being Refunded
Step 1
Sign Up and Refunded will get in touch with you to get the process started.
Step 2
We will install Levno for Fuel – a smart fuel monitoring device which is placed on your petrol tank. This will give you visibility over every transaction in and out of your tank.
Step 3
Together Levno and Refunded will allow you to see your fuel usage and monitor your fuel via Levno app. You can even set up text or email alerts for unusual activity!
Step 4
Match fuel use with a vehicle within the Levno app and once allocated, our system will work automatically to complete your refund, freeing you up to get back to what you do best.
Step 5
You have just been Refunded! Our smart system will do the work, NZTA will deposit your refund directly into your account every quarter. It’s that simple!
